Favorite Friday

My neighbors are putting up Christmas decorations. I am fighting the urge to follow them! I have already broken my rule(no Christmas until after Thanksgiving) and I turned the TV to Christmas music as I was cleaning up the kitchen last night.

This is not my house. But I wish it was.

Kendall is 4...

That was hard to type that in! 2 years old, definitely a baby still, 3 ah, can go both ways but 4 no way! So my baby is now a big girl. This kid is so independent and out going which is a such great thing since I was VERY shy when I was little (I use to stick my hands in my mouth when people would ask me a question)and I still am kind of shy. We always say she looks like me but acts like her Daddy...because she is a handful sometimes. We had a zebra/ pink boots themed party. And what is a pink boot party with out a hayride?

The boot on the cake was suppose to match the boot on the invitations but the icing came out purple but the cake was so good....it was from Neagelins.

Yummy Tummy Tuesday

This recipe is not to eat but it sure smells yummy!

Spiced Ornaments

I always make these during Thanksgiving for some reason. Tomorrow is Kendall's Thankful party at school so I am making them for the class. They make great Thank you gifts and they make your house smell great when your making them.

1 cup of Applesauce
3/4 cup of Cinnamon
2 tablespoons ground cloves
1 tablespoon all spice
1 tablespoon nutmeg

Mix all the dough together. If it seems a little wet add some more Cinnamon. Put the dough on wax paper put another sheet of wax paper on top than roll out. It is going to be very sticky. Carefully use cookie cutter (I used a pumpkin)to cut out the shape and place on a cookie sheet.

Bake at 170 degrees for about 3 hours turn the ornaments every 30 minutes or so. About half way through the baking process get a straw and poke a hole for the ribbon to go through. Than let cool and harden. Tie on some cute ribbon and hang on a door knob or give it as a gift.

What a weekend!

This weekend was a whirlwind to say the least. Here is a look at my table at MOPS mart....



Came home on Thursday night and at 11pm I had to make some more items for my show in Bulverde. Since I sold out of some things. Signs of this economy picking up.:)

Than on Sunday my lovely sister came and helped me do a show here in town. It was held in a beautiful club house...




I wanted to take a picture of the beautiful view but I didn't want everyone to think I was crazy. These ladies where professional craft showers.;) No messing around taking pictures of the venue!

Only 2 more craft shows and than I'm done for the year! Oh, did I mention my machine stop working on Wednesday night? Yeah, it did. Nice timing. I took it today and hopefully will have it back by next Monday. I'm off to go to Best Buy to see if I can get my AWESOME new camera!!:)

I see monogrammed camera straps in Ruffles and Rhinestones future like this one...




My sister asked me if I had a obsession with monogramming things...I would say so.

A little stressed....

I've been staring at this for the last 3 days....




Hoping that I make enough money to pay for one of these....




I want one so bad! I have 3 craft shows in 3 days. Not the smartest decision I've ever made but hopefully it will be all worth it.

I have lots to talk about! But all that will have to wait until next week my machine is calling for me...it misses me.;)

The Chicken Dance...

Ken has been doing German dance for the last couple of months and yesterday was their day to dance at Wurstfest.
Notice that she is about a step behind everyone else. You should see her in her regular dance class. I think she is going to be more of a athletic type of gal.:)

The Festival...

Wurstfest is underway here in our little town. I am so excited for it to come but I'm glad when it's over (mainly to have my husband back).

On Saturday night we took the kids (Kendall and 2 of her cousins) Trick or Treating.







Than came home and had a little party and handed out candy to kids. This was my first time to EVER have kids come by to trick or treat. I'm such a country girl. I was excited to say the least.
